MobileMe Support Agents Learnt Another Lesson

In a previous post, I shared a conversation I had with MobileMe support concerning my cancellation. To my horror, when I deactivated my account, I had no local access to my iDisk files… Mobile Support Agents told me that I should consider my files as lost, not in those exact words…

I let the support agent escalate the issue and today I got this response:

“In addition to the previous information, if you were using iDisk syncing then you will likely have an icon on your desktop “Previous local iDisk for matthew.niederberger” that contains whatever local iDisk files you were storing on your computer. You may want to check there before reactivating to download directly from your online iDisk. I apologize for omitting that from the previous message.”iDisk backup on Desktop

I can now step down from battle stations… apparantly some support agents haven’t passed their MobileMe Support Agent exam yet… This information could have saved me a lot of worries…

I must admit, that my desktop is cluttered with files. A warning after deactivating MobileMe, stating that my files had been backup and placed on my desktop, again, would have saved my at least 45 minutes of chat time with support agents and I would have searched for the file.
